Osama bin Laden on your communion table

Tripp Fuller recounts a story from a youth group at his church as they plumb the depths of praying for and loving an enemy, as well as comprehending that the love and grace of God would require them to extend bin Laden communion (after which they’d shoot him, of course!)… It is downright hilarious and awe inspiring.

We are a people of love, grace, reconciliation, resurrection, new creation, forgiveness – this is radical stuff – perhaps we don’t always “get” that but it might just have us become a people who would possibly forget that putting a cardboard cut out of Osama bin Laden on a communion table might be considered “weird.” That’s what loving an enemy means – because what it really means is that they aren’t an enemy anymore…

What say or think you on this?
